The runners came and came and came! We were set up on 1st ave and 63rd in Manhattan. The street crowd was thick and the roof party across from us had the best smelling BBQ going. Sorry guys we couldnt fulfill your request for Neil Diamond songs! hahaha
Yesterday really was the best ever….. we had three friends running to cheer for.
Colby Glenn finished fast enough to come back down to 63rd street and say hello before we finished playing! He looked like he was ready to go out, not at all like he had just run a million miles and was ready to die. How does that work? The man is amazing.
Roger formerly from the “Squirrels from Hell” ran his second NYC Marathon and looked bouncy and spry. If only he had time to strap on a guitar.
The Homestyle Deli people were the best ever. Not only did they supply us with power, but they let us use their bathroom!! Rare? ….. way rare.
The runners were so great. It really was the greatest privilege to play for them yesterday.
We can’t wait for next year.
